Technological Improvements to Enhance Learning in First Year Biology

Project Summary:
First year biology is requesting a grant to purchase technologies for replacement of textual content in online skills workshops with more engaging video content. First year biology is comprised of three independent, hybrid courses linked by common workshops. These workshops require consistent delivery of content to a large population of students via CourseLink. Historically, the website has been text-heavy, which students do not find engaging or an efficient use of their time. Video delivery of content has been shown to be more enthusiastically received, improving uptake and outcomes.
